Will the VA or my insurance pay for this?
No. The VA and private insurers classify hair restoration as cosmetic surgery, so neither reimburses it. We price by the graft, starting at $5 for FUT and $6 for FUE, with a 1,000-graft minimum. Qualified patients can finance through Cherry at 0% APR over terms up to 72 months.
What does surgery day feel like?
Easier than most patients expect. We numb your scalp, then you spend 6 to 8 hours reclined with lunch and a screen while the team works. Soreness arrives that evening and answers to the medication we send home. Bring a driver, because the sedation stays in your system until morning.
How long before nobody can tell?
About ten days for the recipient area. Small scabs form around each graft and flake off within a week, and redness settles by week three. FUE leaves dots across the donor zone that disappear once your hair reaches a quarter inch. New growth starts near month four.
Can I wear a hat while I heal?
