Can you transplant gray hair?
Yes. Gray follicles from your donor zone grow gray in their new location and survive at the same rate as pigmented hair. Light hair shows less contrast against fair skin, helping a modest graft count look fuller. We plan your density around the gray, current and future.
Will a new hairline look too young on a man in his 60s?
No. We set an older patient's hairline higher on the forehead and soften the front edge with single-hair grafts, matching the recession a man your age naturally shows. We show you the proposed line on your own photos before surgery.
I had a transplant overseas that came in thin. Can you add to it?
Yes, when your donor zone still has follicles to spare. We count your remaining density at consultation and map where the first clinic over-harvested. We place new grafts between the existing hairs to raise density. Bring any records from the first clinic, including the graft count they reported.
What happens if my donor area is too thin for surgery?
We tell you at consultation and recommend the treatment that fits your scalp. Some patients start medication to protect the hair they have and return for surgery later. Men with limited donor supply often do well with a smaller session focused on the frontal hairline. You leave the call with a written plan either way.
