See How Florence Hair Restoration Options Compare
A local search for hair loss help returns med spas that sell platelet-rich plasma (PRP) packages, and hair system boutiques on Beltline Drive. PRP stimulates follicles that still produce hair, while a hair system sits on top of your bare scalp until the unit wears out.
The nearest hair surgeons practice at least two hours away, most often inside plastic surgery offices that treat dozens of unrelated conditions.

Weigh Each Florence Option Before You Commit
Before you prepay a PRP series or make the drive down US-52 through Kingstree to a Charleston plastic surgeon, measure every choice against the concerns Florence patients raise during our consultations.

Find Your Hair Loss Pattern in Our Treatment Plan
Our Florence patients range from McLeod Health nurses in their 40s to retirees on family farms outside Lake City, and we build a separate surgical plan for each pattern of loss.
Your Hair Loss
What We Recommend
Receding temples in your 30s
Stealth FUE lets you keep your hair long enough to hide the donor area while we rebuild the front
A crown that shows through
We angle each graft to follow the natural pattern of your crown
Advanced loss across the top
Mega FUE moves 3,500 to 4,000 grafts in one session
A part that widened after menopause
We test your donor density against female pattern loss before we plan any grafts
Edges that years of tight braids pulled thin
We confirm those follicles stopped regrowing, then rebuild the edge with single-hair grafts
Long hair you want to keep long
FUT leaves a fine line scar that longer hair covers completely

Get Answers Before You Book (FAQs)
Does insurance cover a hair transplant?
No. Insurers classify surgery for pattern hair loss as cosmetic, and patients pay for the procedure themselves. We quote your full price after consultation, based on the graft count your scalp needs. You see that number before you choose a surgery date.
Will my transplanted hair fall out after surgery?
Yes, for a short time. Most transplanted hairs shed between weeks two and six while the follicle stays alive beneath the skin. New growth appears around month three or four, and you see your final density between 12 and 18 months.
Can I get a hair transplant with diabetes or high blood pressure?
Yes, in most cases, as long as your condition stays under control. We review your recent lab work during the consultation and coordinate with your primary care doctor if the results show a need. Patients on blood thinners receive specific instructions from our team before surgery.
Should I keep taking finasteride after my transplant?
Most of the time, yes. Transplanted follicles resist the hormone behind pattern loss, while the native hair around them continues to thin without treatment. Finasteride protects that surrounding hair, which keeps your result looking full as you age.
